Arezo
After the deterioration of her situation in Afghanistan, Arezo's mother flees to Germany to rejoin with her daughter who moved there years ago. However, when her application for asylum is rejected, they decide, based on the supposedly poor health of the mother, to appeal against the deportation. On the day of the court-ordered medical checkup, Arezo injects her mother with a potent and dangerous drug designed to fool the medical tests. But while the plan seems to work, her mother's condition is deteriorating faster than expected. To save her without ruining their plan, Arezo must return to a safe place to inject the antidote to her mother, but the clock is ticking. Produced as part of the Atelier Paris-Ludwigsburg. Shot at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in 2019.
